Take charge of your health…and your family's!

The Community Health Education program is committed to giving families the necessary information to live healthier, more productive lives by offering a variety of educational opportunities. Our classes are conducted by clinical staff, certified childbirth, CPR and First Aid instructors and other credentialed educators on a variety of topics aimed at promoting community safety, health and wellness. To fit your busy schedule, classes are offered throughout the year, including evenings and weekends.

Learn more about healthy pregnancy and raising healthy families through courses, seminars, and workshops that provide pre- and post-natal health, childbirth education and parenting information. Our prenatal education courses include yoga-based pre- and post-natal exercise groups, childbirth education, parenting including classes for dads, infant care, breast-feeding, anesthesiology, and sibling adjustment classes.

Our safety education courses are taught by American Heart Association certified instructors and focus on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid instruction and training courses. These courses are designed to give community residents, both lay and health care workers, skills necessary to help save lives. Other courses, such as babysitting basics, promote wellness and safety awareness. The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in any educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.

Our women's health lectures are designed to promote health and wellness in women of all ages.
